Return to Warhammer 40K

Hello all, this blog is going to be a diary, of sorts, of my return to Warhamner 40K. A few months ago I came across Warhammer Imperium magazine, by Hachette partwork, in my local Tescos. I was a bit late to the party as it was issue 6. Now I haven't played or bought any Games workshop games or miniaures for twenty or so years, except for a couple of copies of issue 1 of Hachette's previous 40K magazine. I forget what it was called, but it had some Primaris marines. I wasn't interested in the chaos army so did'nt sign up to the mag.

Issue 6 have 3 Aggressors, I have to say the Primaris Marines are awesome miniatures, so I bought a copy and then subscribed to the magazine. The ememy force are the Necrons, which also look awesome, much improved from the last time I saw them. You can follow my collection as it grows in the following posts. Each post will be about the models painted from each issue. 

I probably won't be saying much about the rules, games workshop rules no longer interest me. part of the reason of why I stopped playing were the constant re-buying of the codexes with every rule update. I'll be looking to play with alternative rules and not necessarily keeping to 40K background lore. Certain aspects of the lore never made much sense to me.
